Wired Magazine Flips for Ambigrams

Apr 22nd, 2009 | By Editor | Category: Ambigram Gallery

In it’s May, 2009 edition, Wired magazine published a Scott Kim ambigram of the phrase “Reverse Engineering” and wrote:

“It’s called an ambigram, and it’s the hottest trend in typography since Helvetica.”

In the article, Scott Kim stated:

“We’re wired to look for symmetry,” he explains. “Ambigrams have an almost mystical quality to them.”

We tip our hat to Wired magazine for getting on board with ambigrams… although with all respect to the Editor, we think that ambigrams are an even more significant development in typography than Helvetica.
