Denise / Jennifer ambigram rings

One new and interesting trend that has taken root this year is the use of ambigram rings for a commitment ceremony, whether or not the term “marriage” can be applied to the union in the state in which the couple resides or not.

In many ways, it makes a lot of sense.  Ambigram rings combine the names of both people in the relationship in an intimate, complex and undeniably connected way.

Jennifer and Denise, from San Pedro, California are one such couple who recently chose to use ambigram rings as a symbol of their relationship.  After having been friends for several years, the two of them started dating near the end of last year and as Jenn stated “things all just fell into place for us”.  They live in a liberal community in San Pedro, CA that is accepting of their lifestyle and are close to their supportive families.

After re-reading the book “Angels and Demons”, the two of them decided to find out more about ambigrams and their Internet searches led them to FlipScript.com where they found the ambigrams rings.  They were already considering a ring purchase, so the ambigram rings resonated with them immediately.

They decided to purchase the rings and present them to each other at the Long Beach Gay Pride festival where they met with friends, shared the meaning of their rings and enjoyed the festivities of Pride.
