Our logo is an ambigram of the word "ambigram", so it is an example of itself. You can use it if you wish, but read this first.

Ambigram.com logo

Lots of people have tried to make an ambigram of the word “ambigram”. Some have come out decent, but most have been pretty poor. We may be biased, but we haven’t seen a better version of that ambigram than the design that we created for this site’s logo.

Since the site logo is a good example of what it represents, and since it may be useful for others to show just what an ambigram looks like, we are making the design available under a Creative Commons “share-alike” license.

You can view the details of the license by clicking the icon below:

Ambigram.com logo by Ambigram.com is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 United States License.

Basically, this license means that you can use our “ambigram of the word ambigram” as long as the source is identified as “ambigram.com”. You can even attempt to improve on it, or otherwise create new derivatives from it as long as the derivatives also provide proper credit, and as long as the derivatives are also available under the same Creative Commons license.

It may be useful to display an animated version of the design, to display its nature as a rotational ambigram. Here is an animated version of the ambigram.com logo:

Rotating ambigram.com logo

The cool thing about an animated gif of an ambigram is that it only has half of the frames (and is therefore half the size) of any other rotating design.

We’d also love to know what you’ve done with the design. If you display the design somewhere, please let us know below.
